Machias Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Alex Lopes has joined the bank as Senior Vice President, Southern Maine Regional Market Manager, bringing more than 20 years of banking and financial services experience to the business banking team.
Based in southern Maine, Lopes will focus on developing and expanding business banking relationships across the region. His expertise includes commercial real estate and C&I lending, loan structuring, relationship management, credit analysis, and strategic portfolio growth. Prior to joining Machias Savings Bank, he managed over 100 clients and a $200 million loan portfolio, working with business clients across multiple industries.

Lopes is an active member of the community, currently serving on the boards of the Windham Economic Development Corporation and the Maine Chapter of the Risk Management Association, where he also chairs the Education Committee. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Bryant University.
