Dive Insight:
At Bank of America, Brunner served as chairman of global M&A and global head of technology, media and telecommunications investment banking. Before that, he was co-head of global M&A and held several other M&A leadership roles during his tenure.

“We’re delighted to welcome Kevin to our firm and know he will be an outstanding addition to our world-class investment bank and leading technology franchise,” Gori and Simmons said in the memo. “Kevin will join our talented senior team of Global Chairs, who provide strategic advice to clients around the world.”
A veteran of tech M&A, Brunner has advised Google on its $32 billion acquisition of Wiz, Broadcom on its $69 billion acquisition of VMware and RealPage on its $10 billion sale to Thoma Bravo, JPMorgan said.
Earlier this year, Jennifer Nason, a global chair of investment banking at JPMorgan, left the bank to take a seat on the board of consulting firm Accenture. She’d been at the bank since 1986.
In its tech investment banking segment, JPMorgan has recently brought on senior leaders including Mark Garcia, Eric Quanbeck, Brett Miller and Peter Duda. The bank also named Howard Chen, Charlie Dupree and Fred Turpin global chairs of investment banking this year.
A Bank of America spokesperson declined to comment.
