Midwest regional Associated Bank appointed Brianna Elsass as chief digital officer, the bank said Monday.
Elsass joins Associated after a decade at BMO, where she held multiple digital servicing leadership positions until spending the last 11 months atop the bank’s U.S. digital and technology arm, according to her LinkedIn profile. At Associated, she will oversee digital banking strategy and digital sales and servicing capabilities.
“This next chapter is one I’m genuinely excited about — helping accelerate digital transformation, elevating customer experiences, and advancing the bank’s AI and omni channel strategy,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post about her new position Wednesday.
She succeeds fellow BMO alum Doug Peacock, who left the bank for a consulting job in January after six years.
Elsass began her banking career 20 years ago at Discover and spent years working at Capital One and Wells Fargo focusing on digital transformation, product innovation and customer experience initiatives within consumer banking.
She “has a proven track record of transforming customer insights into meaningful digital solutions, and her collaborative leadership style makes her an outstanding addition to our executive team,” said Steve Zandpour, Associated’s head of consumer and business banking, in a prepared statement.
The $52 billion-asset Green Bay, Wisconsin-based lender this month reported second-quarter loan growth of 19% and deposit growth of 17%.
The bank closed on its $604 million all-stock purchase of Omaha, Nebraska-based American National Bank in April.
