- U.S. Bank unveiled new features on its mobile banking app last week, which include a Spanish-language option and availability on Android devices.
- Other features include the ability to set up recurring payments through Zelle, card lock and unlock capability, the option to add a card to Apple Wallet and direct deposit enrollment.
- The new features follow U.S. Bank's April revamp of its mobile app, which it says delivered more than 100 million AI-driven insights to customers since its launch.
U.S. Bank has made significant investments in its mobile banking services, as it looks to serve a growing segment of its customers who value the convenience of digital banking.
According to the bank's Q2 earnings report, 50% of its customers use mobile banking, compared with 44% during the same period last year.
U.S. Bank added an Insights feature when the new app debuted in April. Through a personalized feed, Insights allows customers to view end-of-month cash flow analysis, warnings of potential duplicate transaction charges and a breakdown of spending by category.
U.S. Bank said additional features to Insights allows customers to earn more with their money by saving or investing.
Although U.S. Bank is growing its mobile users, it still trails behind other top banks including Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
